What do you want your students/youth to achieve from their white water experience at the Vector Wero Whitewater Park? i.e. your intended learning outcome, working towards an award/badge, etc.

Recreational rafting on Grade 1-2 river for 5 yrs old and above. 

Get it started on this recreational ride on the Grade 1-2 Tamariki River. Your rafting guide will help you go through the gentle dips and eddies of this 200m water course --- and you'll master the course in no time. Children must be 5 to 13 years old.

Requirement: Children aged five, six and seven need to have a parent, caregiver or responsible adult on the water with them at all times.  Required ratio is one (1) parent per two (2) kids aged five to seven (5-7). If all participants are eight (8) years or older, they are able to raft on their own. Click here for more information.

Risk & Hazard Disclosure
Participating in activities at the Park entails inherent risks like cuts, impact injuries, dehydration, and even death. Injury from collision in water (other participants, craft, other fixed hazards), aspiration of water, drowning, sun burn, hypothermia and injury whilst moving around course ie slipping, tripping and falling.

Family Packages & Combos:

The Family Package ($180) is perfect for a family of four (4).

The Family Package Combo ($225) is perfect for a family of four (4) and includes up to an hour of Flat Water Kayak/SUP hire after your rafting. 

Exclusive Raft & Combos:

The Exclusive Raft Package ($315 - for up to 7 participants) is perfect if you're wanting to book your family or group in without having to share rafts with other groups. Also perfect for Birthday Parties that do not want catering.

The Exclusive Raft Combo ($390 - for up to 7 participants) includes up to an hour of Flat Water Kayak/SUP hire after your rafting. 

Each raft can hold up to seven (7) participants, but you are welcome to have less if you like - the exclusive rafts ensures that your group won't have other groups sharing your raft/s.

Total duration

We require you to arrive 15 minutes before your Check In time to fill out the required documents. Allow two (2) hours from check-in for your activity. This includes safety briefings (45 minutes), your one (1) hour activity on the water and time to change after the activity (15 minutes).

If you have booked the Family Package Combo or Exclusive Raft Combo, please allow three (3) hours from check-in for your activity. This includes safety briefings and getting changed (45 minutes), your one (1) hour of rafting on the Tamariki River and up to one (1) hour of flatwater kayaking or paddleboarding and time to change after the activity (15 minutes).

Suggested clothing

Swimwear, Dri-fit shirt and shorts (you will get wet!). Bring your own towel and sunscreen. Refrain from wearing jewellery and other valuables. Limited number of wetsuits are available upon request.

Activity includes

  • Buoyancy aid, safety helmet, paddles and booties
  • Use of changing rooms with shower

Available Add Ons

  • Lockers are $2.00 per two hours. Payment via debit/credit card and coins only.
  • Note: The Pump Waterfall activity is not an available add on for Tamariki River Rafting.

  • Please note that once your booking is confirmed, there are no refunds if you have less participants on the day or if you cancel your booking. Please keep this in mind when booking.
