COVID-19 Protection Framework

What is the new system?
The Government has announced a new COVID-19 Protection Framework which will come into effect once 90% of eligible New Zealanders in DHBs are fully vaccinated. It will adopt a 3-level "traffic-light" approach to managing COVID-19 and involve the use of vaccine certificates.

What will the new COVID-19 Protection Framework mean for businesses?
In the Red or Orange settings, businesses that do not request proof of vaccine will not be able to operate. In the Green setting, businesses that do not request proof of vaccine will have capacity restrictions.

How will Vector Wero's activities operate in the Covid-19 Protection Framework?
This requirement allows all activities to be operational under all three (3) phases of the system. We have outlined how we intend to operate at the three (3) phases and for more information, click here.

Will Vector Wero require its visitors and customers to be vaccinated against COVID-19?
Yes, so we can operate optimally at all levels of the COVID-19 Protection Framework, Vector Wero will be implementing a vaccination certification entry requirement.

When it becomes law, SNCT will legally implement a My Vaccine Pass entry requirement for all patrons, suppliers, contractors and visitors 12 years old and over attending events or participating in activities on our site.

This requirement to be vaccinated will not only add a layer of protection for everyone on our site but allow us to operate without disruption.

What if I have an exemption from being vaccinated?
Exemptions will only apply for people with medical exempt cards and, currently, for anyone under 12 years old.

What is the My Vaccine Pass?
My Vaccine Pass is the official Ministry of Health system that records your COVID-19 vaccination status. You can read more about it or download your MVP here.

How will Vector Wero record that I have a My Vaccine Pass?
Although we are still waiting on details to be announced, the plan is to offer two options to validate your My Vaccine Pass with us:

  • In advance: All visitors and customers will be required to give information and/or present their My Vaccine Pass (MVP) through our booking process.
  • At Check In: When you arrive at Check-In, you will need to present your My Vaccine Pass to staff to be checked and/or scanned.

What information will Vector Wero hold about My Vaccine Pass?
The only information we will keep is that we have validated your My Vaccine Pass and its expiry date. Any collection and keeping of vaccination status will be solely for the purpose of implementing this policy and will be held in accordance with our privacy policy.

What if I don’t want to be vaccinated?
Any person who cannot present a My Vaccine Pass will not be allowed to enter the premises nor participate in any activity.

Does Vector Wero support getting vaccinated?
Yes, we support the Government’s vaccination programme to protect yourself, your whānau and our community. If you’re looking for how to book your vaccination, BookMyVaccine is the place to start.

Does Vector Wero require its staff to be vaccinated?
As will be required, when the Covid Protection Framework becomes law, all employees of SNCT will be double vaccinated.

What if I can't present a My Vaccine Pass at Check-In?
If you can't present your MVP, you will not be permitted to participate in the activity and will not be given a refund unless you have an exemption.

What if I don't feel well before my visit or activity?
If you have cold, flu or COVID-19 symptoms prior to your visit or activity, please stay home and call your doctor or Healthline on 0800 358 5453 for advice about getting tested. You will be eligible for a reschedule of your activity or a full refund.

All the members of our group except one is vaccinated. Can we have a refund?
All vaccinated people are still able to participate. Anyone who cannot produce an MVP at Check-In will not be allowed to enter the facility and participate in any activity.

  • The group may proceed with their booking without the person who is unable to present an MVP.
  • There will be no refunds to any person who made a booking and is unable to present an MVP.
  • There will be no refunds for any group that chooses not to proceed with their activity on the day without the person who is unable to present an MVP.
